
MY STORY
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) trauma-informed Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have twenty-one years of experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and families. I have worked in various settings during my professional career, including mental health clinics, hospitals, shelters, schools, and child welfare agencies. I specialize in trauma, including a history of childhood abuse/neglect, sexual assault, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, loss/grief and bereavement, immigration trauma, and acculturation issues. I also specialize in working with adults experiencing relationship issues, work stress, family dynamics, and life transitions.
Education
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. I also have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Social Work in Individual and Family therapy from Hunter College School of Social Work. I am also a Field Instructor, and a Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) certified from Columbia University School of Social Work.
Qualifications
I also completed a four-year clinical training and earned a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from Metropolitan Institute for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Adult program. I am currently working towards achieving certification in EMDR.
